I remember back when I used to make comics like this one, where one character doesn't move for several panels, I would draw the first panel, trace it with a lightbox onto printer paper, and use that tracing behind the subsequent panels. That's how Maureen looks almost-copy-pasted but not-quite-copy-pasted in these panels, which I think is important - you can tell when a character's been copy-pasted in a comic, and it looks like they somehow got stuck on pause while the rest of the scene moved on without them!

I do the same thing with Elephant Town, except that I'm penciling digitally now, which means the "tracing" is just placed digitally; the inks are always fully rendered on paper rather than copy-pasted, though. :)
